I am looking forward to Dirty Ed Tuesdays.
He always gets the great Bookings at the Redwood. I have
not been there since the Mau Mau's tore up the house.
The Mau Mau's are playing in New York for all you Snow
Junkies. Rick and the boys are kicking out the jams. I
have known the Mau Maus since 1978. I used to write for
their manager's magazine called Youth Party. We wore red
Armbands when they played. I used my press pass to go
to La Dome and Interview John Lydon of PiL. in 1980. Good
times I tell you. Rick was dating Charlotte, or was it
Shannon from the Castration Squad, another stellar punk
tribal Icon at the time.
The New Wave Theater Stuff lifted its ugly head. Now I
am told. when David Jove the Director and Producer died,
that he sold the Tapes too two different sources so that
they would war till the end of time.
Well that is happening. The guy was such an asshole he
did that so the kids would never see it. My mom used to
say one monkey cannot stop no show.so when he threw his
masters in the garbage. My friend Jerome climbed in and
took them out. Then the guy Robbie held on with a Mummy's
death grip to the release forms.... Boy those people wanted
to own us. Hey Fuckers, They freed the Slaves did you
get the Email? My Best friend Peter who was murdered by
Someone...I have a guess because all David wanted was
to be a Famous person....no matter how, word had it he
had cause the Rolling Stones Bust in England some years
before...
Well we never officially found out who killed Peter Ivers,
but I was told that it was a Speed freak called Earache,
The New Wave Theater doorman and a friend of David's because
Peter and I quit the show 3 days before. We had planned
to go to England. One year into NWT. In 1980 asked if
we could have Pubic Image Limited could play. David Jove
said, "Who are they"?
Well PiL is playing on the Jimmy Kimmel show on April,
Coachella and San Francisco in April. There is a world
tour coming together now for more info go to wwwpil.com.
The Sex Pistols tour stars at the end of this year.
I meant to see Lemmy, Danny, and Slim Jim's Headcat at
the O.C. Fair but I've been playing a lot lately and was
hanging with My Girlfriend Angie Bowie and Roy Oldercamp
Benefit for Haiti at Isla. My friend Igor runs the joint,
it used to be Woody Harrison's oxygen bar, is a long time
pal of mine. I used so suck more air in that joint...
It is located at 8788 W sunset next door to the Red Rock
on the Sunset Strip.
My new Band Tequila Mockingbird and the Blond Moondust
plays there on March 23rd.I spent the Day with Angie Bowie
and my manager Salvatore, Lorrie Maddox who was kidnapped
by Jimmy Page at 14 and her Fiancé. Angie is Beautiful...and
she is so much fun. She has a charity cal Aids Be Gone
and I have a cut on the next release, and Kim Fowley,
who discovered the Runaways and the (unappreciative at
the time cause he speed-ed up the tape!) Go Go's... We
raised 3000 that day and we had a ball. On March 23rd
we are having another event at ISLA. Come and Join us
it is free.
I have a radio show on the air weekdays
called the Cocktail Hour with Bob Blackburn. Another
called the Maryjanes Medical Marijuana hour, and Talk
of the Town listen at www.karmaradionetwork.com
featuring Up and coming Writers, actresses and caregivers.
The Runaways movie is the Cherry Bomb. I
want my Joan Jett Barbie big time. It is coming to a theater
near you!
Oh and don't forget to see Alice in Wonderland I will
be the girl with the Maryjanes Tea.

Get ready!
Steady! PiL returns!
By Tequila Mockingbird
Public Image Ltd. (PiL) are an English musical
group formed in 1978 by vocalist John Lydon, guitarist
Keith Levene, and bassist Jah Wobble. Rising from the
ashes of the pivotal punk rock group the Sex Pistols,
PiL branched out to a more experimental sound, and their
early work is often regarded as some of the most challenging
and innovative music of the post-punk era: the NME[1]
described PiL as "arguably the first post-rock group".
Their later music would be somewhat more conventional,
and although PiL have been inactive since 1992, Lydon
(the band's only constant member) considers the group
"on hiatus" rather than broken up. In September 2009,
it was announced that Lydon will reform the group for
a small British tour in December I was not a big Sex Pistols
fan but I was a big John Lydon fan John was filled with
wisdom and did not suffer fools. I was told that he paid
Don Bolles to leave his hotel room on his first tour.
I was unliked by the cool kids. I had had a vision when
I was 5 that I would come to California and join a cult
that was the one thing my mom warned me about. Punk was
was my cult and John was the High Priest. I was different
and I was working on New Wave Theater, which was considered
a sell out TV show. We put Punk and New Wave underground
art on TV, X, Blaster, Gears, Black Flag, Fear, 45 Grave,
and lot's of movie stars like John Beluchi hang on. I
was an elected Krononaut {I belonged to a time travelers
association) to mark special historical events like the
musical changes that were taking place. I was invited
to go too the 1st PIL press conference at La Dome. It
resembled a Republican town hall meeting. I was dressed
in a 1940's dress and my hair was sparkling Rasberry.
I was sitting next to the "real" jounalist I only had
the Zeriod a magazine on the Art Gallery Zero Zero News...
Craig Lee, Belissa Shelly De Cunia and the rest were trying
to punch John trying to taunt him and rass him. He was
talking about the day he believed would come when Record
companies would be crumble. I was a deconstuctionist as
well and we got on like a house on fire. I agreed I said
I agree they are killing art for commerce. Graig Lee leaned
over and said Shut Up Tequila. Shelly was starting to
make time with Keith Levine. Belissa and I were fighting.
It was a free for all. After the Chaos, John and I spoke
privately. It was the beginning of our 29 year friendship.
Following the Sex Pistols' breakup in 1978, Lydon spent
three weeks in Jamaica with Virgin Records head Richard
Branson, in which Lydon assisted Branson in scouting for
emerging reggae musicians. Branson also flew American
band Devo to Jamaica, with an aim to installing Lydon
as lead singer in the band. Devo declined the offer. Upon
returning to England, Lydon approached Jah Wobble (né
John Wardle) about forming a band together. The pair had
been friends since the early 1970s when they attended
the same school in Hackney. They had previously played
some music together during the final days of the Sex Pistols.
Both had similarly broad musical tastes, and were avid
fans of reggae and world music. Lydon assumed, much as
he had with Sid Vicious, that Wobble would learn to play
bass guitar as he went. While that had proven a fatal
assumption with Vicious (Lydon cites his musical inability
as a prime reason for the Pistols' breakup), Wobble would
prove to be a natural talent. Lydon also approached guitarist
Keith Levene, with whom he had toured in mid-1976, while
Levene was a member of The Clash. Lydon and Levene had
both considered themselves outsiders even within their
own bands. Jim Walker, a Canadian student newly arrived
in the UK, was recruited on drums, after answering an
ad placed in Melody Maker. PiL began rehearsing together
in May 1978, although the band was still unnamed. In July
1978, Lydon officially named the band "Public Image" (the
"Ltd." was not added until several months later), after
the Muriel Spark novel The Public Image. PiL debuted in
October 1978 with "Public Image", a song written while
Lydon was still a member of Sex Pistols.[4] The single
was well received and reached number 9 on the UK charts,
and it also performed well on import in the US. In 1984,
Lydon started to put together a new touring band and auditioned
various musicians at The Palace in Pasadena, California.
Among the prospective recruits was Flea, soon to be of
Red Hot Chili Peppers fame. After a storming jam session,
Flea was immediately offered the job, but he declined,
stating that he was a big fan of the Flowers of Romance
album and only wanted to jam with the band. PiL manager
Larry White spent around a week trying to persuade him
to change his mind, telling him: "Listen, this Chili Peppers
thing is going nowhere. The best thing you can do is come
out with PiL!" Keith Levene later claimed: "Flea auditioned,
but when he found out I wasn't in the band anymore, he
just said no. I was quite pleased by that!" However, Flea
has stated that he did not join because he wanted to do
his own thing and not be part of a sideshow. For years
John and I spoke backstage about the shows, the times,
and the people I remember once we were hanging out at
the Palladium in LA and he said what's this room Tequila
a skating Rink! He is always such a wunderkind, Handsome,
curious, mischevious, and he could slit your throat with
a glance. The Chili Peppers were good friends of mine.
They may have told him I was smitten. That information
was hard not to know. Flea later played with Levene on
his "Violent Opposition" album. 1999 also saw Jah Wobble
& Deep Space support the Chili Peppers in France... Documented
PiL fans The Red Hot Chili Peppers have also covered 'Religion'
& 'Poptones' live. In 1986, Lydon recruited former Magazine
and Siouxsie & the Banshees guitarist John McGeoch, world
music multi-instrumentalist (and former Damned guitarist)
Lu Edmunds, bass guitarist Allan Dias, and former The
Pop Group and The Slits drummer Bruce Smith. As the years
went on, PiL's line-up grew steadier as the sound of the
albums drifted toward dance culture and drum-oriented
pop music. Edmunds left due to tinnitus in 1988, and Smith
left in 1990. John had fallen for a German Women named
Nora, I named my band Trouble for Nora. I was in for a
buttload of heartache because no one could thrill me with
just the look in his eye. Year pasted like moments .We
met at Book Soap when he was signing his book No Blacks,
No Irish, No dogs. John was not amused. PiL released Happy?
in 1987, and during the spring of 1988 performed throughout
the United States as part of the INXS Kick tour. The album
was less well received by critics than its immediate predecessor,
but still produced the classic single "Seattle". In 1989,
PiL toured with New Order and The Sugarcubes as "The Monsters
of Alternative Rock", an arrangement of disparate alternative
bands that predated the Lollapalooza festival by two years.
PiL's ninth album, 9, appeared earlier that year. I ran
into John in New York when I was on tour with Bad Manners
in the 90's. He was pleasant and upbeat! He was flogging
album. The band's last album to date, 1992's That What
Is Not, included a sample from the Sex Pistols' song "God
Save the Queen" in which the young Lydon's voice is heard
chanting the words, "No future, no future..." Lydon disbanded
the group a year later after Virgin records refused to
pay for the tour supporting the album, and Lydon had to
pay for it out of his own pocket. The band's last concert
was performed on September 18, 1992 with the lineup of
Lydon, McGeoch, Ted Chau (guitar, keyboards), Mike Joyce
of The Smiths (drums), and Russell Webb (bass). Lydon
released a solo album, Psycho's Path, in 1997. In September
2009 it was announced that the band would reform, including
earlier members Bruce Smith and Lu Edmonds, for a number
of Christmas shows in the UK and no I don't have tickets
yET. The last time ever I saw his face it was Halloween
2 years ago at CBS Studios. I saw John at the Greg Kilborn
show, I took my posse, Karen and Alex to see the Sex Pistols
backstage. Karen thank God, worked at CBS making us the
only ones allowed backstage. I walked in and John was
cutting up a tee shirt that he was gonna wear. He screamed
Get Out you stalker! I said John, It's been almost 30
years just don't. He followed us into the Green room and
said I forgive you for everything Tequila. I melted into
him. PART TWO The Official Pil 'PUBLIC IMAGE LTD' ADD

quite popular in Central America. The Pupusa

Hello Fellow rockers! I got a medical card.
I went because all this stress was getting me down and
I am waiting for SAG to send me a check so I will have
health care. There has been no movie work for 3 months....
I went to the 420 collective and 2 doctors examined me.
It took about an hour or so and then the doctor lady called
me in and partially signed me to a masonic marijuana magic
oath complete with signing over my first born to normality.
So far so good. I started a new radio show as a sister
too the Cocktail Hour on Karma Radio Network called Mary
Jane's Medical Marijuana Hour. I try to keep patients
abreast of the latest laws, clinic's doctors and discoveries
in the world of Medical marijuana. Would you like to listen?

about those two shady guys we had partners with at the
Zero Gallery. He told me,they stole a lot of art and are
trying to steal the ZERO name, money, and the Galleries
contacts. I figured them for slippery handed New York
types and booked 6 months ago after trying to relate to
the vibe they were bring...Anyway if someone represents
them self as part of the ZERO and it's not John or I tie
